Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

My name is Bernie Tostanowski, a recent Baking & Pastry Arts Graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. I have a strong passion for coffee and pastries and will one day combine the two by opening my own bakery & café. Until then I am gaining experience at some of the world’s top rated resorts and restaurants.

Before leaving the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) I left a part of myself in the Fine Grind Society. I founded the interest group while on my externship at Walt Disney World when I realized that the world’s culinary schools need to educated us more on the topic of coffee. So I began the grop and it quickly became the largest group on campus. News got out about this group and it has soared ever since.

I love travel! My first international trip was just this past January when I went on an all-expenses-paid trip to San Ramón, Matagalpa, Nicaragua with Counter Culture Coffee’s very own Kim Elena Bullock and Cindy Chang. It was a life changing two week trip to study coffee and I have been hooked ever since.

I am always looking for new topics to talk about or recipes to try so please drop me a line and let me know what you would like to see. This is just as much your blog as it is mine!
